GRILLED TUNA FILLET WITH WASABI AND EDAMAME
Back

Tuna and wasabi are products still quite exotic to Polish consumers but they have been catching on as ingredients of home-made sushi. Edamame, on the other hand, is an ingredient that remains a mystery to the majority of Poles, while it is actually fresh soybean pods. It looks like young broad bean, its taste is slightly sweet and it is rich in fibre and protein. Presented below is a recipe for a simple and healthy lunch, full of nutrients and fresh products.

INGREDIENTS:

• Fistful edamame (about 100 g)
• Tuna steak 2 cm thick
• Wasabi
• Olive oil
• Lemon juice
• Salt and pepper for seasoning

WAY OF PREPERATION:

Wash the fish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Rub wasabi into the stake, the quantity depending on how spicy you like your food. Sprinkle with olive oil and lemon juice and put aside for ten plus minutes to let the fish marinate. In the meantime, boil water in a pot, add salt and edamame. The cooking process should be short, just a few minutes, so that the beans remain crunchy and retain as many nutrients as possible. Once cooked, put it to the bowl with icy water – this way it will remain firm and exquisitely green.

Heat up oil on a grill pan and sear the tuna 3 minutes on each side. Serve with cooked beans, and if you want the meal to be more filling, add cooked rice.
